News text:

Following the European Commission's proposal to revise the Drinking Water Directive of 1998, the European Parliament adopted on 23 October 2018 the text which includes the addition of endocrine disruptors to the list of water quality parameters for drinking water, including nonylphenol with the reference value of 0,3 μg/l. The same text provides a tighter limit of 0,01 μg/l for bisphenol A.

Parliament will enter into negotiations with European Council once EU ministers have set their own position on the file.
